As a project leader Sally is concerned with relationships – between people and place, between designer and client, and between the teams of professionals working together to bring a design to life. Practical and hands-on in her approach, Sally works well with clients, architects, builders and trades professionals. She values communication and collaboration; she likes to listen, to explore options and problem solve; and creatively work through parameters to deliver the best outcome for each project.

In terms of style, Baxter+Co is all about collaborating with the client to create a style that is unique to them. Creating homes and places to belong is personal, and our work is tailored to the individual.

Our design process has been refined and streamlined through experience – to help minimise stress and save both money and time by identifying what we want to achieve up front, and clearly communicating this to builder. That said, each project is unique, and the process unique to each client.

We start with Concept Design to weave your ideas into a cohesive vision, and develop the visual story, using material options, colour palettes and initial feature detailing. Design Development further develops the design ideas, drilling down into each space to feel how the design concept is translated. We start to set up drawings and schedules. Construction Documentation formalises the design, we prepare the documents for construction. We are then available to be on site as required; working with the builder, architect and client to make sure the design is realised.
